  • This course starts the week commencing Monday 15th January 2024.Course Overview

    This is a qualification designed for adults who are interested in nursing or social work as a professional career. The Access Level 2 course is delivered over two or three days. Access Level 2 is well established and is a progression pathway to Access to HE Diploma at level 3.

    Students will study:

    • Digital Skills at Level 1
    • GCSE English
    • Functional Skills Maths at Level 1
    • Biology
    • Psychology
    • Nursing Studies
    • Infection Control
    • Preparation for Progression units.


    Students must be completely committed to hard work and are required to maintain full attendance (100%) throughout the course.

Career Opportunities & Further Study
Internal progression to Access Level 3 – Nursing, Nursing in Work or Nursing and Health Science upon successful completion of all Level 2 units at Croydon College, progressing towards their career goals in friendly and familiar surroundings.

Assessment

You will be assessed throughout this course using a variety of assessment methods including:

  • You will produce both individual and group work.

Your English and maths will be formally (exam) assessed at the end of the academic year.



Entry Requirements

You must be aged 19 and above. All applicants will be required to take an English and Mathematics written assessment, regardless of previous qualifications – the offer is based on the result of assessment. All applicants will be interviewed to ensure that the course is the right choice based on previous educational and work experience.
