Useful Information
The A Level Accounting qualification allows you to develop
quantitative data analysis and interpretation skills, whilst the inclusion of
ethics and an emphasis on management accounting will give you the confidence to
communicate information to non-accountants and future clients.
A qualification in accounting will always be helpful –
whether it’s used professionally or personally. This course helps students to
understand the responsibilities of the accountant and the impacts of their
recommendations on the business and the wider
environment.

Assessment
There is a significant financial element to the A Level
course. Strong numerical skills and the desire to learn how to calculate
financial information and interpret financial data is therefore
essential.
You will be assessed via two written exams which are both 3
hours long and worth 120 marks. The exams consist of a mix of multiple-choice
questions, short answer questions and extended answer
questions.

Entry Requirements
Students wishing to include A Levels in their programme need
to have (or expect to achieve) at least five GCSE passes including a grade 5 in
English and Maths..
The Accountancy A Level goes really well with Business A
Level and Mathematics A Level and can also be taken with BTEC courses as part of
our mix and match programme.
GCSE Business is not required.
