Course Highlights
The primary objectives of these qualifications are to equip learners with the foundational skills and knowledge required to embark on a career in sport or progress within the sector, as well as to prepare them for higher or further education through full-time or part-time study.
The qualifications aim to help learners:
- Select a pathway and units that align with their career or academic aspirations
- Enter employment in the sport and active leisure sector or progress to higher or further education, including Level 3 Sport qualifications
- Acquire and enhance essential skills valued by employers and higher and further education institutions
- Develop knowledge and understanding of the vocational sector

Learners who achieve these qualifications could progress to:
Apprenticeship, BTEC Level 3 qualification or employment.

Assessment
Each learner is required to compile a portfolio of evidence demonstrating the achievement of 100% of the learning outcomes and assessment criteria for each unit. Upon completion of each unit, learners must confirm that the work produced is their own.

Entry Requirements
Four GCSEs grade 9-3 and a satisfactory school reference. Including English Language at grade 2 and maths at grade 2
as a minimum.
