Course Overview
This course has been designed to develop specialist, transferable and industry-specific skills to help you progress to higher learning, or creative apprenticeships. You will take part in guided workshops, including studio-based practice such as painting, 3D sculpture, printmaking, photography, digital design, and fashion and textiles. The course is evidence-based, and you will build up creative portfolios which are submitted at two key assessment points.

Career Opportunities & Further Study
The Level 3 Extended Diploma in Art & Design prepares students for progression into specialist courses at the degree level, Higher National Diploma, or Foundation Degree programs at universities and, as well as careers in the creative industries. Assessment
Assessment methods for both internal and external units are designed to align with the course objectives, allowing learners to demonstrate the skills they have developed in practical scenarios. Gr: All units are graded to encourage skill development and performance, utilizing a grading scale of Distinction, Merit, Pass, and Unclassified. This grading system was introduced based on feedback from users and practitioners of the qualification.

Entry Requirements
4 GCSEs grade 9-4 (A*-C) or a related Level 2 vocational qualification (at merit or higher), including English and maths. Equivalence of these qualifications will be considered. Plus, an art portfolio containing recent creative work you have done.
