Course Overview
The course will help you build up a portfolio of coursework and experience to support your future career. This course includes a wide range of projects which include installing computerhardware and software, designing and creating
websites and games including an introduction to basic coding.

There is a rich variety of work and employer engagement
opportunities provided for you through live briefs, trips, competitions and
placements.
You will have the opportunity to participate in employer-led

Career Opportunities & Further Study
Successful completion will allow you to progress onto a Level 3 programme. Alternatively you can enter employment or an
apprenticeship.

Assessment
Assessments are primarily portfolio based along with a few
externally assessed modules.
Assessments may also be practically assessed in the IT
workshops.

Entry Requirements
3 GCSEs grade 9-3 (A*-D) or a related Level 1 vocational qualification including,English and maths. Equivalence of these
qualifications will be considered.
