Course Highlights

Course Specific Trips & Visits

The College runs a number of educational experiences each year to enable students to contextualise their learning. These experiences include trips and presentations by visiting speakers.

Recently, Film Studies students visited London cinemas as part of the BFI London Film Festival, to take part in screenings, some with Q&A sessions with the Film Makers. They have also visited The Harry Potter Studios at Levesdon to participate in a story-boarding masterclass and study the set and costume designs.

Career Opportunities & Further Study

Although not a vocational qualification, A Level Film Studies provides a useful foundation for students wishing to study Film at a higher level or pursue a career in the Film Industry. Alternatively students may wish to combine Film Studies with other academic subjects such as English and History.

Some students have secured places with the BFI Film Academy delivered by Eastside.
