Career Opportunities & Further Study
This qualification shows that students can apply concepts
and interpret practical situations. Those who wish to progress and who have
achieved a Merit, will have a strong grounding for further study at Coulsdon
Sixth Form College on a Level 3 Course (BTEC or A Level).
The Award is equivalent to one GCSE. Students wishing to
progress to a Level 3 BTEC qualification would need to have a minimum of 4 GCSEs
at Grade 4 or the equivalent BTEC Level 2 qualifications (at Merit or
above).

Assessment
This course is assessed by a combination of
coursework (75%), projects and exams (25%). Students will complete four units
over the course of the year. The emphasis of the programme is that students are
assessed by engaging in practical groupwork and individual
tasks.

Entry Requirements
Two 2 and three 3 grades at GCSE including English and
Mathematics minimum Grade 2 or equivalent qualifications (a Pass or higher at
BTEC Level 2 is accepted as part of the GCSE Grades).
