Course Overview
Over the past few years, the number of people who experience allergic reactionshas been steadily rising. Today, there are an estimated two million people in theUK living with an allergy. The objective of this qualification is to introduce learners working in an adult social care role to allergens, allergies, food labelling, and allergy awareness in children. This course has been designed to provide skills and knowledge in a range of subjects related to allergies. These include the different types of allergens, allergies and intolerances, food labelling and packaging, how to recognise reactions, how to reduce risks, how to provide first aid, and more.
Course Highlights: This course is split into three manageable units: Unit 1: Allergens, allergies and intolerances
Unit 2: Food labelling and packaging
Unit 3: Allergy awareness for those working in adult health and social care
