Course Overview
A beginner’s course that will introduce participants to a
range of printmaking processes including drypoint, carborundum, relief and
mono-printing using the beautiful intaglio and Albion presses in our printmaking
studio. Each week you will be introduced to a new process and be given the
opportunity to explore the technique, layering your knowledge as the course
progresses. The course fee includes all the required
tools and materials for the sessions including non-toxic inks and standard
papers. Specialist printmaking papers and additional materials will be available
to purchase where requested. Participants are invited to bring
along a range of visual source material to work from such as sketches,
photographs or found imagery. A variety of visual references will be available
if this it is not possible.
