Course Overview
This qualification aims to provide you with the knowledge, skills and understanding relating to the travel and tourism sector. It covers areas such as preparing for a career, customer service and a background to the travel and tourism industry, which can be applied to current or future employment in a variety of roles. The content has been developed with employers, subject experts and tutors to ensure that it’s relevant to the real world and meets the need of employers.

Course Highlights
Students will explore the UK Conference and Events Industry, Travel Agency Operations and the Cruise Industry. You will delve into Investigating Cabin Crew, Business Travel and gain hands-on experience through Work Experience. Lastly, you will focus on Customer Service, The UK Travel and Tourism Industry and Preparing for a Career.You will be studying English and maths alongside your course, if you have not achieved this at grade 4.

Career Opportunities & Further Study
On completion you can progress onto Level 3 Travel and Tourism or Business. This course opens up a wide range of exciting career opportunities including Travel Consultant, Event Planner, Cruise Director, Tour Operator or Travel Influencer. Altenratively, you can explore other courses in the college.

Assessment
This course is entirely coursework-based, with learning outcomes assessed for each unit and no external exams.

Entry Requirements
GCSE grade 4 in English and Maths is recommended, though equivalent qualifications or a relevant Level 2 qualification will also be considered. You should have a genuine passion for the travel or business industry and be able to demonstrate this during your interview.
