Course Overview
Teaching assistants can work across all age groups to support learners. This role involves supporting the class teacher to enhance learners's progress and development, typically in smaller groups or individually. You will ensure students understand their work, learning objectives and contribute positive learning behaviours. You will follow safeguarding policies and the organisations educational policies. The programme of study will cover learning and support, curriculum, child development, legislation and policy and professional development.

Assessment
You will be assessed on your practical skills in the workplace, ensuring they meet industry standards for performance, as well as your understanding of key workplace competencies and knowledge.You will be assessed on your theoretical skills through an End Point Assessment, which includes a knowledge test and presentation.
