Course Overview
The plumbing and domestic heating apprenticeships involves fitting and servicing domestic water, heating and drainage systems. You will plan, select, install, service, commission and maintain all aspects of plumbing and heating systems. You may be working in customers' homes or building sites. The installation of plumbing and heating systems includes accurate measuring, marking, cutting, bending and joining metallic and non-metallic pipework.

Successful completion of this course can lead to progression to employment or further training. You may choose to advance to a related level 4 apprenticeship or a specialised course. Employment opportunities can include heating and ventilation engineer, gas service technician and kitchen and bathroom fitter.

Assessment
You will be assessed on your practical skills in the workplace, ensuring they meet industry standards for performance, as well as your understanding of key workplace competencies and knowledge.You will be assessed on your theoretical skills through an End Point Assessment, which includes a knowledge test and presentation.

Entry Requirements
Candidates are required to have level 2 English and maths.
