Course Overview
Quantity Surveyors monitor and control costs and contracts on construction projects. The main duties include assisting senior managers with budgeting of projects, selecting and managing specialist contractors, supporting with legal and contractual issues on a construction project as well as recording, controlling and reporting of income and expenditure on a construction project. The programme of study will cover health and safety, sustainability, contracts, procurement, financial reporting and administration.

Assessment
You will be assessed on your practical skills in the workplace, ensuring they meet industry standards for performance, as well as your understanding of key workplace competencies and knowledge.You will be assessed on your theoretical skills through an End Point Assessment. This involves a creating a project and presenting this project, followed by a professional discussion where an independent assessor will ask you at least 6 questions.
