Course Overview
This occupation is found in the construction, built environment and engineering sectors. The purpose of this role is to bring the built enviroment to life by connecting up the buildings we live and work in, ensuring they meet the needs of people and services they accomodate. They will ensure this is done safely and efficiently. Building services engineering senior technicians use their knowledge to deliver or address problems within building services systems. The main types of building services systems are mechanical (heating, ventiliation and cooling), electrical (power and lighting) and public heatlh (water services and drainage). Daily work involves, interacting with senior management to confirm programmes of work, assign team responsibilities as well as plan budgets and resources. You may be working in an office environment, working on site or working remotely.

Assessment
You will be assessed on your practical skills in the workplace, ensuring they meet industry standards for performance, as well as your understanding of key workplace competencies and knowledge.You will be assessed on your theoretical skills through an End Point Assessment. This involves a creating a project and presenting this project, followed by a professional discussion where an independent assessor will ask you at least 6 questions.

Entry Requirements
Candidates are required to have level 2 English and maths.
