Course Overview
This qualification is suitable for learners aged pre-16 and above and is designed for use within a Study Programme. It provides learners with the foundational skills to either begin a career in sport or advance within employment in the sector. Additionally, this qualification can prepare learners for higher or further education, offering a solid introduction to the field of sport. The course covers various areas of study including Anatomy and Physiology, Practical Sport, Fitness Testing, Personal Training, Sports Coaching, Sports Injuries, Health and Wellbeing.

The primary objectives of these qualifications are to equip learners with the foundational skills and knowledge required to embark on a career in sport or progress within the sector, as well as to prepare them for higher or further education through full-time or part-time study. The qualifications aim to help learners: - Select a pathway and units that align with their career or academic aspirations - Enter employment in the sport and active leisure sector or progress to higher or further education, including Level 3 Sport qualifications - Acquire and enhance essential skills valued by employers and higher and further education institutions - Develop knowledge and understanding of the vocational sector

Assessment
Portfolio of Evidence Each learner is required to compile a portfolio of evidence demonstrating the achievement of 100% of the learning outcomes and assessment criteria for each unit. Upon completion of each unit, learners must confirm that the work produced is their own.

Entry Requirements
A minimum of three GCSEs at grades 3/D or a related Level 1 vocational qualification is required, including a minimum of a grade 3/D (or equivalent) in English OR English and Mathematics assessed at Entry 3 or above by College assessment. Additionally, a satisfactory reference demonstrating a minimum of 85% attendance will be requested.Please take note of the following details:
