Course Overview
Every year, approximately 1.8 million people receive mental health treatment. Given this, it is essential to support mental health care workers in providing ethical, person-centred care to their patients while also safeguarding their own physical and mental well-being. This course will equip learners with a comprehensive understanding of mental health and associated issues, the principles guiding mental health care workers, approaches to care and management, the duty of care in adult health and social care, and strategies for facilitating change and support related to mental health.

This Course is Divided into Five Manageable Units: - Unit 1: Mental Health and Mental Health Issues, - Unit 2: Principles of the Mental Health Care Worker, - Unit 3: Approaches to Care and Management in Mental Health, - Unit 4: Duty of Care in Adult Health and Social Care Unit 5: Change and Support in Relation to Mental Health.

Entry Requirements
There are no specific entry requirements for this course; however, learners should possess at least a Level 1 qualification in literacy or an equivalent credential. Our Level 1 and 2 distance learning courses are available free of charge for those eligible for government funding, provided you meet the following criteria: - Age Requirement: Must be 19 years or older. - Age 19-23: You must hold a full Level 2 qualification or higher, such as five GCSEs or O Levels at grades A-C (or 9-4), two or three AS Levels, one A Level, NVQ Level 2, First Certificate, or Principles of Learning Level 2. - Age 24 and Over: No qualifications are required. - Enrolment Status: You must not be enrolled in any other distance learning course with us, - Residency Requirement: You must have been living in the UK for the last three years.
