Course Overview
This course is designed for those who have an interest in plumbing, with a desire to work in the building services or engineering sector. This qualification will assist in your progression to become a fully qualified plumber and you will develop and practise the skills required for employment and career progression.
You will cover an introduction to the following subjects: Central heating systems, drainage, hot and cold water systems, electrical and scientific principles, health and safety practices.

You will have the opportunity to undertake enrichment activities outside of Croydon College, with regular trips to exhibitions such as Eco-Build at the Excel Centre and on-site visits to construction sites.

Assessment
Learners in Plumbing - Entry Level 3 Certificate will be assessed in two ways:
There are practical tasks which have to be assessed in our bespoke workshop environment; you will have to complete a portfolio of evidence of all workshop tasks.
There are ten online multiple choice unit tests which assess your knowledge and understanding of the subject.

Entry Requirements
GCSE grade 9-1 (A*-F) in English or an ESOL Entry 3 qualification. You will also need GCSE grade 9-1 (A*-F) in maths. Equivalence of these qualifications will be considered.
Evidence of a commitment to learn and the ability to study at this level shown at interview.
