Course Overview
This course is designed for those who have already completed a L2 Engineering qualification and are interested in developing their skills further. This qualification will assist in your progression to become a qualified Engineer and you will develop, and practice the skills required for employment and career progression. Throughout this course you will study a range of subjects, including health and safety, mechanical manufacturing, machining and CAD.

Course Highlights
Students engage in enrichment activities, project-based learning, and benefit from strong industry connections through employer links, employability events and discussions on apprenticeships and career progression. A requirement of at least 35 hours of work experience is part of the program. For safety, students must purchase personal protective equipment, such as steel-capped boots and appropriate workwear.

Career Opportunities & Further Study
Upon completing a Level 3 Engineering program, students can pursue various career opportunities in the Engineering industry. For further study, students may progress to a L4 HNC qualification to deepen their skills and knowledge, or pursue other Engineering related qualifications in other areas such as Civil Engineering. Apprenticeships, as well as NVQs in related fields, provide additional pathways for career advancement.

Assessment
Assessment methods include classroom-based learning, where theoretical lessons are supervised by the teacher, and practical training, which involves hands-on activities guided by qualified instructors. Continuous evaluation ensures that students' skills are developed properly, with assessments conducted under direct supervision throughout the program.

Entry Requirements
A full L2 Engineering Qualification and English and Math GCSE grade 4 and above OR Functional skills Level 2 OR Mathematics and English assessed at Level 2 by college assessment
