This practical Fine Art course offers students the chance to cultivate a deep appreciation of the visual world while developing their own personal, creative responses to it. The course emphasizes the importance of visual language, focusing on core skills such as drawing, painting, and printmaking, with much of the work grounded in direct observation. Our students consistently excellent results, securing places at prestigious art colleges and universities, which can lead to diverse careers within the creative industries. Additionally, many students choose Fine Art to balance their academic studies with a subject they are passionate about. A-Level Art is a highly rewarding course, though it requires students to undertake projects with a significant degree of independence.

Our well-equipped Visual Arts facilities support a broad range of media, including printmaking, textiles, photography, and graphic design. Dedicated resource areas, such as those featuring Apple Mac computers, are also available to enhance the learning experience.

Entry Requirements
Students wishing to include A Levels in their programme need to have (or expect to achieve) at least five GCSE's at grade 4 or above, including English at grade 4 and mathematics at grade 4. Students will need a satisfactory school reference and also meet the following minimum GCSE requirement: Grade 4 in Art or relevant Design Technology or Grade 5 if taking two Art endorsements.
