Career Opportunities & Further Study
Learners primarily progress to Higher Education study in areas related to Midwifery, Adult Nursing, Child Nursing, Related Health Studies degrees. In addition, internal progression to: Undergraduate Degree in Public Health and Social Care at Croydon University Centre. Career opportunities after higher education include Midwife, Lactation Consultant, Doula or Family Planning Specialist.

Assessment
The core subjects for the Access to Higher Education Diploma in Nursing include: study skills
, human biology,
nursing studies, psychology and tutorial support.There will be a variety of assessment methods, including: practical assessments, oral presentation, debates, coursework, project work and examinations.

Entry Requirements
English and maths at GCSEs grade 9-4 (A*-C). Equivalence of these qualifications will be considered. Evidence of a commitment to learn and the ability to study at this level shown at interview. An initial assessment in maths would be considered if a maths GCSE is not gained already.
