Course Overview
The Access to Higher Education (HE) Diploma is a nationally recognized qualification that enables students without traditional Level 3 qualifications to apply for degree courses and gain entry to university. The Nursing Diploma is ideal for adults who have been out of full-time education for an extended period and aspire to pursue higher education in nursing or fields. This qualification requires maturity, dedication, and a significant time commitment. Applicants must also successfully complete an interview and screening process.

Entry Requirements
Age: Applicants must be aged 19 or above.
Academic qualifications: English at GCSEs grade 9-4 (A*-C) and maths at GCSEs grade 9-3 (A*-D). Equivalence of these qualifications will be considered.You may be required to study GCSE maths at college if not gained already.
Application Process:
Selection is based on an interview, initial screening, and literacy and numeracy tests if required.
Note: Universities often require GCSEs or Functional Skills (Level 2) for entry. It is the student's responsibility to ensure that their qualifications meet the university's requirements.
Financial Information
Financial Support:
Eligibility for Learner Support Funds or the 19+ Advanced Learning Loan bursary will be assessed. Check with Student Finance England to determine eligibility for an Advanced Learner Loan.
Loan Repayment:
If you progress to and complete a Higher Education course, Student Finance England will "write off" any outstanding loan balance for Access to HE course, meaning you will not have to repay it.
