Entry Requirements
Age Requirement: Applicants must be 19 years or older
Academic qualifications: English at GCSEs grade 9-4 (A*-C) and maths at GCSEs grade 9-4 (A*-C). Equivalence of these qualifications will be considered.
Application Process:
Selection is based on an interview, initial screening, and literacy and numeracy tests.
Note: Universities are increasingly requiring GCSEs or Functional Skills (Level 2) as part of their entry criteria. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that their current and future qualifications align with the entry requirements of any university they wish to attend.
Financial Information
Financial Eligibility:
Applicants must provide evidence that they meet the criteria for general discretionary Lear Support Funds or the 19+ Advanced Learning Loan bursary fund. To check if you are eligible for an Advanced Learner Loan, please contact Student Finance England.
Loan Repayment:
Student Finance England will write off any outstanding balances on the Advanced Learner Loan for an Access to HE course once you complete a higher education course. This means you will not be required to repay the loan.
