Course Overview
This qualification is designed to stimulate interest and encourage the learners’ understanding of the skills and knowledge needed to care for young children. It is aimed at a range of learners, including young people needing to develop life skills as well as those thinking of working in childcare. It is also suitable for parents who wish to develop parenting skills and mature learners.You will also need to complete work experience hours in the sector.

Entry Requirements
GCSE grade 9-2 (A*-E) in English and maths. Equivalence of these qualifications will be considered. Evidence of a commitment to learn and the ability to study at this level shown at interview. In addition, you will need to complete a DBS (Disclosure Barring Service) check once enrolled, which the College will pay for if you are aged between 16–18 when you start.
