Assessment
Assessment methods for this course include: Practical Competencies: 50% of the assessment based on direct observation in childcare settings. Work Experience: A compulsory component of the qualification that is crucial for practical learning.

Entry Requirements
3 GCSEs grade 9-3 (A*-D) or a related Level 1 vocational qualification including, English and maths. Equivalence of these qualifications will be considered. In addition, you will need to complete a DBS (Disclosure Barring Service) check once enrolled, which the College will pay for if you are aged between 16–18 when you start.
