This qualification offers students the opportunity to specialize in Medical Science, with a focus on key areas such as Human Physiology and advanced medical techniques across various fields. It also provides a strong foundation for progression into medically related degree programs, including Biomedical Sciences, Genetics, and Radiography, or for pursuing careers in laboratory-based industries.

Assessment
The course is assessed via exam (50%) and coursework (50%). The exam board for this course is Pearson EDEXCEL

Entry Requirements
Students wishing to do BTEC Level 3 courses, need to have (or expect to achieve) at least four GCSE passes at Grade 4 or above including English (and a satisfactory school reference) in order to be accepted on a BTEC Level 3 Programme. Students must also gain the additional GCSE grade: Grade 5 in Science and Grade 4 in Maths
