During Year 1 you will study Anatomy & Physiology for Exercise, Ethics & Values for Sport, Exercise, Health and Lifestyle, Career Paths in Sport, Nutrition, Injuries in Sport, Leadership in Sport, Practical Individual Sport and Fitness Testing for Sport & Exercise. During Year 2 you will study Research Project in Sport and Exercise Science, Assessing Risk in Sport, Psychology for Sporting Performance, Biomechanics, Current Issues in Sport, Sport Coaching, Fitness Training and Programming, Practical Team Sport and Organising Sport Events.

Career Opportunities & Further Study
On completion you can progress into higher education to study topics including Physiotherapy, Sport & Business Management, Sport Coaching, Sport Science, Sport Therapy and Physical Education. This course opens up a wide range of exciting career opportunities including Personal Training, Sport Coaching, Gym manager, Fitness Instructor or Outdoor Acitivity Instructor.

Assessment
You will be assessed through continuous coursework-based assessment. Assessment methods include: portfolios, diaries, video evidence, powerpoint presentations, discussion and role play.

Entry Requirements
4 GCSEs grade 9-4 (A*-C) or a related Level 2 vocational qualification (at merit or higher), including English, maths and PE/Science. Equivalence of these qualifications will be considered. Mature applicants may be considered on relevant experience without having the required entry requirements. However, an interview will always be required.
