Assessment
In order to achieve the Technical Level 3 Extended Diploma
in Health and Social Care, students must achieve the internally assessed unit
assessments for:
14 mandatory units 4 Optional units
Learners must also achieve:
Certificate External Assessment (HSC1) Extended
Diploma External Assessment (HSED2) Short Answer Examination (HSC/SAE)
(Unit HSC DM 3.1) They must also complete a minimum of 175 placement
hours.

Entry Requirements
4 GCSEs grade 9-4 (A*-C) or a related Level 2 vocational qualification (at merit or higher), including English and maths. Equivalence of these qualifications will be considered. You will also need to complete a DBS (Disclosure Barring Service) check once enrolled, which the College will pay for if you are aged between 16–18 when you start the course.
Mature applicants may be considered on relevant experience without having the required entry requirements. However, an interview will always
be required.
