Each external assessment is linked to a specific unit, allowing learners to demonstrate their breadth and depth of achievement over 120 guided learning hours (GLH). These assessments include:
Examinations: All learners take the same written assessment at the same time.
Set Tasks: Assessments completed during a defined window, demonstrating understanding through practical vocational tasks.
Internally-Assessed Units
Most units are assessed internally and subject external standards verification.
Synoptic Assessment

Entry Requirements
To enrol in the Level 3 Extended Diploma, applicants must meet the following requirements:
Four GCSEs at grades 9-4/A-C*, or a related Level 2 vocational qualification (at merit or higher) including English and maths. Equivalence of these qualifications will be considered.
Mature applicants may be considered based on relevant experience even if they do not meet the entry requirements, though an interview will always be required. A satisfactory reference may also be requested.
