Course Overview
This course is designed for those who have an interest in plumbing, with a desire to work in the building services or engineering sector. This qualification will assist in your progression to become a fully qualified plumber and you will develop and practise the skills required for employment and career progression. You will cover subjects including: Central heating systems, Drainage, Hot and cold water systems, Electrical and scientific principles, and Health and safety practices.

benefit from learning in our modern, well-equipped workshops.
You will have the opportunity to undertake enrichment
activities outside of Croydon College, with regular trips to exhibitions such as
Eco-Build at the Excel Centre and on-site visits to construction
sites.

with employers and the ways in which we incorporate this into your learning.

Assessment
This course is assessed in two ways:
- There are practical tasks which have to be assessed in
our bespoke workshop environment; you will have to complete a portfolio of
evidence of all workshop tasks.
- There are ten online multiple choice unit tests which
assess your knowledge and understanding of the subject.

Entry Requirements
GCSE grade 9-2 (A*-E) in English and maths. Equivalence of these qualifications will be considered. Evidence of a commitment to learn and the ability to study at this level shown at interview.
