The Level 3 Certificate in Childcare and Education is designed for individuals who aspire to work with children from birth to 5 years, as well as gain knowledge about children aged 5 to 7 years. Assessment
Assessment methods this course include: Work Experience: Practical experience in an early years setting for a minimum of two days per week. Unit Assignments: Completion of eight unit assignments and an effective practice study task. Extended Assessment Task: An in-depth evaluation of learning and practical application. Direct Observation: Assessment of practical skills and knowledge in a real-world environment, ensuring students can demonstrate competency in childcare settings.

Entry Requirements
To enroll in the Level 3 Certificate in Childcare Education, applicants must meet the following criteria: Academic Qualifications: Four GCSEs at grades 9-4/A*-C, or a related Level 2 vocational course at Merit or higher. If a pass grade is achieved, GCSE grades and/or Functional Skills results may also be considered. English and Mathematics Proficiency: A GCSE at grade 9-4/A*-C (or equivalent) in English or Mathematics, or English and Mathematics assessed at Level 1 or above through College assessment. DBS Check: Completion of a Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check, which the College will cover for students aged 16-18. Mature Applicants: Consideration may be given to mature applicants based on relevant experience, but an interview will be required. References: A satisfactory reference may also be requested.
