This course starts the week commencing Monday 15th January 2024.
This course is suitable for those who are interested in carpentry and joinery. The course is suitable for those who do not have prior experience in woodwork as well as those who are improving their skills. Come and learn the basic of woodwork and earn a lifelong skill. You will learn how to use basic hand tools, and be introduced to new pieces of equipment.
You will cover two projects.
Choice of making: • Jewellery box • Plant stand • Stall• Hot pot stand • Wooden puzzle• Stamp
What will we cover?• basic hand tools and power tools • looking after and maintaining your tools • different Joining Methods • setting a plan and following it • Handle carving tools competently and safely.• Carve in wood from your own ideas.
The course is open to all levels, from those who have no previous knowledge or do have experience of woodcarving.
Wear suitable clothing and shoes.
