This course is a foundation to Access Level 3, if you are not ready to progress to the Level 3 Access to Higher Education qualification. You can develop your academic skills of critical thinking, evaluation and analysis. All of which will prepare you for university.
This is a qualification designed for:o The Level 2 course is delivered over two days.o The qualification is designed to support learners to develop skills and knowledge needed for progression to further learning at Level 3.o Students can study English and Maths alongside this course.
The qualification is called The OCNLR Level 2 Certificate in Skills for Further Study in Humanities and Social Science.
You must be aged 19 and above. Each application will be considered on an individual basis. Selection is by interview, initial screening, literacy and numeracy assessments.
• Candidates are required to have GCSE English Language grade D or grade 3 or Functional Skills Level 1• GCSE maths – D or grade 3 or Functional Skills Level 1• Equivalent overseas academic qualifications will be accepted on this course. • A satisfactory reference must be received.• Students must be completely committed to hard work and are required to maintain (100%) full attendance throughout the course.
