Course Overview

This is a qualification designed for adults who are interested in progressing to Access to Nursing Level 2, Access to Science Level 2 or Access to Social Science level 2 within Croydon College.

The Access Level 1 course is delivered over two days.

Students will study:

Digital Skills at Level E3

Functional Skills English at Level 1

Functional Skills Maths at Entry Level 3/Level 1

Award in Science

Award in Health and Social Care

Infection Control

Preparation for Progression to HE

Students must be completely committed to hard work and are required to maintain full attendance (100%) throughout the course.

Walking for health at Macmillan Resource Centre at Croydon University Hospital

Many more volunteering opportunities to support your Personal Statement and CV

Students will have the opportunity to review their progression journey with the support from The National Careers Service.

Your English and Maths will be formally (exam) assessed at the end of the academic year.



Entry Requirements

You must be aged 19 and above. All applicants will be required to take an English and Mathematics written assessment, regardless of previous qualifications. All applicants will be interviewed to ensure that the course is the right choice based on previous educational and work experience.
