Students will study a range of units on the BTEC programme covering all of the core sciences and specialising in the medical application of each discipline. Throughout the course, students will have the opportunity to complete practical investigations and experiments, as well as develop their research and independent study skills. Units studied:

The College runs a number of educational experiences each year to enable students to contextualise their learning. These experiences include trips and presentations by visiting speakers.
The course is assessed via exam (50%) and coursework (50%).
The exam board for this course is Pearson EDEXCEL.
Students wishing to do BTEC Level 3 courses, need to have (or expect to achieve) at least four GCSE passes at Grade 4 or above including English (and a satisfactory school reference) in order to be accepted on a BTEC Level 3 Programme.
